After much speculation about how Marvel Studios would bring Ghost Rider into the MCU, we now have confirmation! Although it's probably not what you were hoping for. Whilst many had hoped that we might end up with Johnny Blaze on Netflix, the Spirit of Vengeance will actually end up on Agents of Shield.

Furthermore, it seems that this will actually be the more recent Ghost Rider, Robbie Reyes, with the casting going to Gabriel Luna who briefly appeared in the last season of True Detective.

For those not in the know, Robbie Reyes is different from the character Nicholas Cage played in two mostly forgettable Ghost Rider films. That character was Johnny Blaze. This character is a young kid from a bad part of LA and instead of a motorcycle drives a Dodge Charger. Now, whilst many of you may be a little skeptical that this isn't the classic Ghost Rider, we should actually all be a little glad. AoS will most likely make Robbie an Inhuman, which is smart on their part.
Whilst Inhumans from the comics are becoming a little more recognizable, to a good chunk of non-comic book readers they are mostly unknown. Ghost Rider at least has the precedence of two feature films. And since we're getting a more recent interpretation that leaves less room for the fandom to be mad that they're turning they're changing so much about such a beloved character. And it still leaves room for Norman Reedus to play Johnny Blaze on a Netflix show!
