SDCC 2016: Legendary Pictures releases the first trailer for ‘Kong: Skull Island’

Legendary Pictures unleashes the first official trailer for the upcoming reboot, 'Kong: Skull Island'. Check it out above!

For this weekend's San Diego Comic Con, Legendary Pictures has finally dropped the first official trailer for the highly-anticipated reboot, 'Kong: Skull Island'. A modern take on the classic movie monster (no relation to Peter Jackson's 'King Kong'), the new Kong is now the biggest, baddest version to date. the change was made necessary to facilitate a fight between the legendary ape and the newest incarnation of Godzilla from 2014's 'Godzilla' in the forthcoming 'Godzilla vs King Kong'.

The trailer shows us some very brief glimpses of what we can expect. Most of what was shown was Skull Island from the human perspective. It seems a military mission brings our heroes into the pit of the mysterious jungle, where they begin to encounter creatures from their wildest dreams…or possibly nightmares. We don't see much of Kong either, but from what we were shown, we have a pretty good idea of the scale for the latest incarnation, which is frighteningly massive.

The movie stars Tom Hiddleston, Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, and John Goodman.

Kong: Skull Island releases March 10, 2017!
