Marvel Studios finally confrms the full cast list for the upcoming superhero epic, 'Black Panther'.
Ever since T'Challa aka Black Panther made his debut in 'Captain America: Civil War', fans have been clamoring for any news on what his solo movie adventure will look like. During Marvel Studios' panel at this year's San Diego Comic Con, they decided to finally reveal the mysterious cast list for the movie.
The cast list we were already aware of included Chadwick Boseman as the titular hero, Martin Freeman reprising his role as Everett Ross from 'Civil War', and Andy Serkis returning for the first time since 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' as the villain, Ulysses Klaue, more than likely with his comic book "claw" hand after Ultron ripped off his real one.
The newest additions to the cast now include:
Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Okoye
Taking some bad-ass queues from her role as Michone on 'The Walking Dead', Danai will play Okoye, the head of the Wakandan royal guard, as well as one of the Dora Milaje (Adored Ones), who are the women on par with becoming the wife of T'Challa and future queen of the African nation.
Michael B. Jordan (Creed) as Erik Killmonger
The Creed star will be portraying N'Jadaka aka Erik Killmonger. With his family killed mercilessly by the treacherous Ulysses Klaue, he became a vengeful brawler, seeking to right the wrongs done to him at the "hand" of the criminal monster.
Lupita Nyong'o (Star Wars: Episode VII- The Force Awakens) as Nakia
You might not recognize her, but Lupita's role in 'The Force Awakens' was pretty memorable. She provided the voice and mocap work for the tiny orange sage and ally to Han Solo, Maz Kanata. As Nakia, she will also be one of the Dora Milaje, in competition with Okoye for the heart of Emporer T'Challa. Upon realizing she would not come to rule at his side, she eventually became the character known as Malice.
Black Panther releases February 16, 2018!
