SDCC 2016: Netflix releases the first trailer for Marvel’s The Defenders

Netflix has revealed the first official teaser trailer for the upcoming Marvel series, The Defenders. Check it out above!

The San Diego Comic Con International is going strong this weekend and Marvel has all the new footage and trailer for any loyal fanboy to sink their teeth into. As part of their massive lineup for the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase III, they've already unveiled the latest trailers for season 3 of Daredevil, the premiere of both Luke Cage and Iron Fist, and now the ensemble superhero epic series, The Defenders.

The Defenders doesn't have an official synopsis just yet, but the story follows the heroes of Hell's Kitchen, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist as they join forces to save the city they've sworn to protect. The trailer is nothing more than a series of random newpaper clippings and magazines pages being rearranged over an anthem of Nirvana's 'Come As You Are'. The trailer ends with the unmistakable sound of Stick, Daredevil's former mentor, asking "You four think you can save New York? You can't even save yourselves."

There's no official release date for The Defenders, but the entire series is expected to stream worldwide in 2017.
