SDCC 2017: Fox’s new X-Men show, The Gifted, gets an all-new trailer

It actually doesn't look half bad.

Since Fox owns the X-Men, they own a LOT of characters. Of course, they can't fit them all into a movie so they switch out mutants in the movies and have even started developing TV shows that delve further into this world. FX aired the first season of Legion last year which has gotten an incredible response from fans and critics and now, Fox will be airing a new show titled The Gifted this fall.

It's unclear where in the muddled X-Men timeline this show will take place but it seems to be potentially after the events of Days of Future Past and just before or after Logan. A brand new trailer makes reference to the world not knowing if the X-Men even exists anymore and for those who have seen Logan, it's heavily alluded to that there may have been an event that led to the death and disbandment of the X-Men.

Mutants are very much not welcomed in this world and a family of mutants who have learned of their abilities must attempt to survive any dangers that are thrown at them. The series stars Star Wars' own Oscar Issacs and looks to be a promising superhero TV show. You can check out the all-new trailer down below.

The Gifted will air on Fox on Monday, October 2nd.
