SDCC 2017: WB Animation announces their line-up of upcoming films

Which DC Animated movie are you most excited for?

WB Animation has revealed their upcoming line-up of movies coming our way over the next few years.

Fans were ecstatic to hear that the next WB Animated movie would be none other than 'Batman and Harley Quinn', based in the same universe and animation style as the original 'Batman: The Animated Series'. While this in itself was exciting on its own, the studio has revealed at this year's San Diego Comic Con their docket of upcoming titles that are sure to leave fans riddled with aniticipation:

Gotham by Gaslight

Officially the first movie after 'Batman and Harley Quinn', 'Gotham by Gaslight' is the story of Batman retold in a Victorian era DC Universe. The original story released in 1989 as a one-shot by Mike Mignola, creator of 'Hellboy'.

Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay

'Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay' will follow more along the lines of the DC Comics' New 52 interpretation of the story, as opposed to the live action movie released in 2016. This version appears to have a different continuity to the first animated version, 'Batman: Assault on Arkham', so the two may not be linked as some might have thought.

Death of Superman

'Superman: Doomsday' was the first to adapt the storyline of the fall of the Man of Steel, but this version will be coupled with the upcoming 'Reign of Superman'. The entire event will be much more inclusive to the full events of the comics, leaving in more material than was in the previous animated film. The movie is set to release in 2018.

Reign of Superman

The sequel to 'Death of Superman', 'Reign' will follow the events of a world without a Superman protecting, only to have a series of clones emerge and take the mantle: Steel, The Eradicator, Superboy, and Cyborg Superman. The movie is set to release in 2019.
