SDCC 2017: Worlds collide in new trailer for Netflix’s The Defenders

Since 2015, Netflix and Marvel have been building up to the street-level version of The Avengers with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist. All of the shows, with the exception of Iron Fist, have gotten very good responses and have given Netflix the confidence they needed to move forward with The Defenders.

Next month, Netflix will release their vigilante team-up on their massive streaming service but to tide us over, they've given us a brand new look at what the show will give us. The brand new trailer released at Comic-Con shows off some well-choreographed action sequences, quite a bit of humor mixed with some maturity that contrasts Marvel's movie universe, and a lot of Sigourney Weaver who will serve as one of the villains of the season alongside Elektra who has been on standby since Daredevil season 2.

You can check out the trailer down below and you can click here to see a featurette on the show starring the one and only Stan Lee.

The Defenders will be released exclusively on Netflix on August 18th.
