SDCC 2018: Sony unveils new limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro

The long wait for Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man PS4 is nearly over and as count down the weeks before release, Sony has announced one last major piece of merchandise to tie-in with the game.

Die-hard web-heads without PS4s (or if you’re a serious true believer with the system already) can pick up a limited edition Spider-Man PS4 Pro on September 7th. The console is painted “Amazing Red” and featured the signature white spider emblem created by Insomniac plastered on the console. The bundle also comes with a copy of the game and a red and white controller.

The bundle will set you back $399.99 but is a great way to dive headfirst into what will undoubtedly be one of the biggest games of 2018, you can click here to pre-order it. Sadly, there’s no word as to if the red and white controller will be made standalone for purchase.

If you have a 4K TV and a Pro, Spider-Man will take advantage of the power of the hardware with 2160p dynamic 4K resolution that adds more depth to all the details in Marvel’s rich universe. The game will also feature HDR capabilities so you get the most vibrant colors possible, whether that’s through Spider-Man’s eyepopping suit or when you’re fighting powerful baddies like Mister Negative.

Spider-Man has been confirmed to be locked at 30 FPS on both standard PS4 and PS4 Pro. The game will finally release on September 7th exclusively on PS4.
