No matter your stance on Sea of Thieves, it's hard to argue that its art style is unique. As such, comic publisher Dark Horse has announced that they will be producing a comprehensive compendium of Rare's concept art aptly named "The Art of Sea of Thieves."
The book will give fans who take the plunge "an unprecedented look at the ships, characters, and loot" of Sea of Thieves across "hundreds" of pieces of concept art. On top of the visuals, the book will feature exclusive developer commentary on the development of Sea of Thieves. Here's what the cover will look like.
The Art of Sea of Thieves will retail for $39.99 and will release sometime in early 2018. Pre-orders for the book are currently open on Barnes and Noble but will also be sold through Amazon, Penguin Random, House and other retailers.
In other Sea of Thieves news, another 30,000 invites were recently sent out for the game's Technical Alpha. Changes were also announced for the Technical Alpha's play sessions, which are now being entirely moved over to Saturdays. The length of each session has also been extended to a full 24 hours long, beginning at 3 PM BST (that's 10 AM EST) on Saturdays and run until the same time on Sundays.
Sea of Thieves still doesn't have a concrete release date, but it will launch on Xbox One and PC sometime in 2018.
