Season 5 for Call of Duty: Warzone adds news locales & Mini Royale

New locales, New modes... new Ride?

The Call of Duty: Warzone hype-train isn’t slowing down a bit and instead turns into a literal train of terror with the introduction of an imposing freight train. Accompanying these are playable interior locations for the train station and the stadium. All this and more coming in Season 5 starting tomorrow.

Activision’s premiere battle royale shooter Call of Duty: Warzone is starting its fifth season tomorrow and to celebrate the occasion we got a bombastic new trailer showcasing all the sweet new additions.

The highlight is without a doubt a massive change to Warzone’s already large Verdansk map. By opening the interiors of the Verdansk Stadium and train station, players will have entirely new places to explore, exploit, and exterminate.

But there’s more than just two places. With the addition of a freight train, matches become even more dynamic. The train travels through a large portion of the map and will offer an entirely new tactical angle for teams to use and attack.

Developer Infinity Ward is stacking this update as the Warzone map will get its playspace expansion via the Stadium opening its doors, as well as the Train Station interior and a colossal, continuously moving freight train to claim as your mobile base of operations!

As if that wasn’t enough, players get a massive boost in mobility with the inclusion of Exterior Ascenders that are popped all across the map. These enable super quick ascension possibilities to hunt down snipers from elevated positions or claim one yourself.

Rounding up the already impressive package is the inclusion of an entirely new game mode, Mini Royale. This fast-paced mode tries to offer a much more concentrated battle royale experience by squashing the best parts of the regular game into shorter and more jam-packed matches.

Season 5 for Call of Duty: Warzone starts tomorrow and is poised to become a literal game-changer for all the right reasons.
