SEGA bringing classic games to 3DS monthly starting next week

Not too long ago SEGA revealed that a they would be releasing classic games on the 3DS monthly after the release of the initial game, After Burner 2 'in early 2015.' It turns out that 'early 2015' really does mean early.

An update on the Nintendo eShop shows that After Burner 2 will be hitting North America and Europe on January 15 for $6 (£4.49/€5). SEGA has yet to confirm or deny the listed date.

After Burner 2 has 23 stages, new difficulty settings, new graphics options, a selection of "real arcade cabinets." Beating the games 23 stages promises an extra mode to players that has "even more gameplay enhancements." The games that will be released monthly after After Burner 2's official release on the 3DS eShop are as follows: 3D Fantasy Zone, 3D OutRun, 3D Fantasy Zone II, and 3D Thunder Blade.

Whether these games will be releasing on the 15th of each month consecutively has not been revealed – we will keep you updated.
