Sega Forever is the new move from Sega to bring many of its old games to iOS and Android, as reported last week. The games will be available for free, with something a little extra for those paying $1.99 per game. Since the positive response to this, Sega addressed its interest in bringing the initiative to Nintendo Switch.
Sega's chief marketing director, Mike Evans, spoke to GI.biz about bringing Sega's backlog to mobile and other platforms.
"It’s a huge project and what I really want to do is get mobile right. […] After this, there are options: we can look at desktop, Facebook, we could even take these games to consoles like Switch."
Additionally, when talking about the potential of this initiative, Evans even mentioned that Dreamcast games might eventually make the cut.
Sega Forever is currently available for iOS and Android with starting games such as Sonic The Hedgehog, Altered Beast, Kid Chameleon, Phantasy Star II.
