Sega might have leaked Yakuza 6: The Song of Life for PC

The Japanese game publisher Sega just recently announced their financial results for the first quarter of 2018. Amidst the document, Sega noted Yakuza 6: The Song of Life as both a PS4 and PC title. This is interesting, as the publisher has of yet not officially announced a PC release for the game. Yakuza 6 did release in April this year exclusively for the PS4.

Listed under “Major Titles” releases in the first quarter of 2018, we can clearly see that the sixth Yakuza game is noted as a multiplatform game, available for both the PS4 and PC.

Now, if this is true and not a typo, seeing Yakuza 6 sometime soon for the PC is not really going to suprise anyone anymore. Oh, how that statement would result in weird looks just a few months ago, but the truth is Sega has quite openly changed their direction in regard to the PC as a major gaming platform they aim for.

After the surprise announcement of Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwami for the PC during this year’S E3, it only took a short wait and just yesterday Yakuza 0 released for home computers. With Yakuza Kiwami possibly releasing not too far off, getting more Yakuza games on PC became not only a hope but almost a certainty. After all, how much sense would it make to not release prior and future games from the Japanese adventure-brawler at this point? Two titles are already here or will arrive soon, and with Yakuza 6 having released just earlier this year for the PS4, it makes sense that that game will be coming rather soon than late.

And if we were to be betting men, we’d say the upcoming Yakuza 3 remaster for the PS4 is going to come to PC as well. It makes just sense. But for now, neither Sega put out an official statement regards Yakuza 6 for PC, nor does the game’s website display PC as a platform.

You can take a look at Sega’s official financial results for Q1 2018 for yourself where besides the likely Yakuza 6 PC release was leaked, you will be able to get a pretty detailed look into the business of Sega. Whether it is digital entertainment (games) or Pachinko business.
