SEGA has waited until pretty much the last second, but here it is: the company's plans for E3. As expected, its lineup includes Alien: Isolation, Sonic Boom, and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd. Not a bad list if ya ask me.
So, what exactly can we expect from these games?
SEGA and Creative Assembly will first be presenting a new game mode for Alien: Isolation. What's more, the game will also be playable for the first time, so get ready for an influx of previews. For those unfamiliar, Alien: Isolation is a survival horror game inspired by the core essence of Ridley Scott's original Alien film. It's you — an under-powered Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley — against a terrifying xenomorph. Good luck.
SEGA shared new details regarding the Sonic Boom games for Wii U and 3DS. The key takeaway is that they've each got their own name: Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric is coming to Wii U, while Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will be for the 3DS. Both will introduce you to the "most vile and formidable villain in Sonic history" — Lyric. Both versions will be playable on the show floor next week.
And lastly, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd, an all-new rhythm game, will also be at the show. Announced earlier this year, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd features 20 songs from the previously Japan-only PSP games and 20 brand new songs to the Project DIVA series. There's also updated gameplay mechanics and controls, over 80 brand new and remade fan favorite modules, cross-save functionality, and a revamped edit mode ranking system.
We'll be on the show floor next week going hands-on with all of these games, so make sure you keep it tuned to GameZone for all the latest coverage.
