Sega trademarks three new titles

They say you have to spend money to make money. In Sega's case, it seems as though the company is losing money, and it's resorting to spending more money so it can hope to make some of that lost money back. My goodness, I hope I haven't confused you all.

Anyway, it looks like Sega has filed trademarks for three new games. This is kind of surprising when you consider the fact that the company is expecting a financial dip and is possibly planning to cancel a few titles.

The three filed trademarks are for the following games: Galaxy Conquest, Ryu ga Gotoku Kizuna, and Valkyria Duel. Now, we had already heard about Ryu ga Gotoku Kizuna. That's the social Yakuza game the company's had planned for some time. Galaxy Conquest, on the other hand, is a mystery to us.

But Valkyria Duel? OK, we don't know what that is yet, but we do know that it has the word "Valkyria" in it, which means it could be some sort of Valyria Chronicles sequel or spin-off (or a social game … meh). Here's hoping Sega reveals more info on these games in the near future. More importantly, let's hope these games (the Valkyria title, in particular, unless it's a social game … meh) actually happen.
