Serious Sam 3 nonsensically shoots its way to XBLA next week

When Serious Sam 3: BFE launched on PC last year, it managed to deliver a joyfully old school FPS experience. The game harked back to the days when shooters didn't utilize cover, and it offered a crazy running and gunning shoot-fest. That said, it still offered some tight modernized gameplay mechanics to keep it from feeling archaic.

Xbox 360 owners are going to get the chance to play Serious Sam 3 fairly soon, as the game will launch on Xbox Live Arcade on October 17. That's next week, you guys!

Serious Sam 3 will sport a 1200 Microsoft Points price tag, and it will include the single-player campaign, splitscreen co-op, online co-op, and online leaderboards. Competitive multiplayer modes as well as the Jewel of the Nile campaign expansion will also be available at launch for 1200 Microsoft Points.
