Serious Sam 3 planned for Steam Linux

Serious Sam 3: BFE will be one of the first games available on Valve's Steam Linux when it launches.

Left 4 Dead 2 was also confirmed for the client, which Valve recently announced.

Developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital released BFE in 2011. When it arrives on Steam Linux, the game will include all the updates from the PC and Mac versions, along with other features.

"We're in the process of integrating Steamworks and achievements and the whole shebang, but we can't get the little f*cker of a penguin to stand still," said Fork Parker, the chief financial officer at Devolver Digital.

"The last time I had anything ‘Open Sourced' I was in Thailand, if you catch my drift."

Steam Linux does not have a release date at this time.
