It has finally happened, Alien: Covenant, the Prometheus sequel, has officially wrapped up filming. The film will be heading into post-production to add special effects for the next few months and then, we might finally see a trailer for the film.
The announcement for Alien: Covenant having wrapped up filming came in a Tweet showing off Ridley Scott and the new main Katherine Waterston. Which you can see below:

We got our first look at Waterston in the role back in May, along with the news that face huggers and chest bursters would be making a an appearance in the movie. Covenant will follow typical the Alien franchise and will be a dark film without too much comedic relief, according to Waterston's co-star Danny McBride.
Alien: Covenant is set to release on August 4, 2017,starring Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo,Jussie Smollet, Amy Seimetz, and Danny McBride.
