Settlers of Catan made even better with Pokemon

I have to admit that my exposure to Settlers of Catan doesn't come from the physical version of the game, but rather the XBLA game from 2007. But even though I was playing a digital version of a physical board game, I loved it.

Today I saw something I love even more. The following pics were posted to imgur via user gs511, and they are a complete redesign of Settlers of Catan, but with Pokemon. Seriously, everything from the tiles, to each of the cards have been meticulously redesigned to a Pokemon theme. The cards even look like Energy Cards from the trading card game (unless they really are) and that's freaking amazing.

The general gameplay remains unchanged though, meaning that this not only speaks to Settlers of Catan fans, but Pokemon fans as well. Given that it's based off a licensed property, chances are slim to none that we would see this reproduced, but we can dream right?

You can check out some of the pictures below, or head to the gallery to check out all of them.
