Several pieces of alleged concept art of Rockstar Games’ dormant spy game, Agent, surface online

At E3 in 2009, Sony announced a bombshell. Rockstar Games was going to be developing a PlayStation 3 exclusive game in the style of a James Bond-type story. The game was titled Agent and was set to be a Cold War spy thriller, no other details were given at the time and all we got was a logo but many expected it to arrive within the coming years… or at least before the end of the console generation.

Years went by with no trailers, screenshots, or word from Rockstar Games. The game's page on Rockstar's website is still there as well with the old PS3 logo suggesting that it may not be fully dead otherwise you'd imagine they'd just remove the page altogether. Rockstar even included a nod to the game back in 2013's Grand Theft Auto V. Franklin has to steal an Aston Martin-like car similar to James Bond's from a movie set and the license plate on the car reads "AGENT". Various rumors and supposed in-game screenshots of environments have also surfaced over the years but it's not enough to really give us an idea of what the game could/could've been.

Today, some new pieces of concept art popped up online via the Twitter page Bully 2 Info. The page leaked some alleged pieces of concept art for a sequel to another Rockstar game, Bully. No one has been able to really prove them as fake and it seems like a lot of trouble to go to just to fool some people on the internet so most people just believe they're real.

The pieces of concept art show a snowy environment, possibly Russia given the Cold War setting. We see various things including a man in a suit standing next to a flipped over car in the middle of the road staring at a crashed plane/helicopter.

We've reached out to the owner of the Twitter account for comment but have yet to hear back.

It's hard to say if we'll ever see Agent as it sounded like it would be a narrative driven game with no multiplayer, or at least one that's not similar to GTA or Red Dead. Rockstar Games saw great success with Grand Theft Auto V nearly 5 years ago they've been able to coast off of it and its multiplayer without releasing a single game since then. Red Dead Redemption 2 is due to release early 2018 but we'll likely see a similar situation where they find incredible success with the multiplayer and can continue to profit off of it for many, many years.
