Shadow of the Colossus is just under two months away, and for fans who own Sony's upgraded hardware, you might be wondering just what sort of enhancements you can expect to come your way. According to Executive Producer, Yasutaka Asakura, PS4's Shadow of the Colossus will feature two modes of play similar to that of Nioh, a Cinematic and a Performance mode.
As you can probably surmise, Cinematic mode prioritizes image quality by rendering the game at 4K and locking the framerate down at 30 FPS. Performance mode lowers the image quality but aims to hit a smooth 60 FPS. Developer Bluepoint released a new video further detailing what players can expect from the PS4 Pro version, and say that one of their most significant objectives with the game was ensuring a more stable framerate.
Shadow of the Colossus releases exclusively on PlayStation 4 on February 6th, 2018.
