Shadowrun: Hong Kong receives an official release date

Back in the day, Shadowrun was a the cyberpunk tabletop game of choice if you wanted to piss away a weekend and get into passive aggressive fights with your best friend over ace deckers and Gibson versus Stephenson.

Over 25 years later, it looks like the classic is about to make another foray into the digital dystopia with Shadowrun: Hong Kong, which just got an official release date of August 20th.

The RPG blends cyberpunk themes and magic complications and has been a mainstay of the genre for over two decades. Earlier this year a Kickstarter campaign was launched and gathered up $1.2 million dollars for the developers and the payoff is soon upon us.

Shadowrun: Hong Kong will be available via Steam, Humble and GOG.
