The crowdfunding campaign for Shantae: Half-Genie Hero came to a close today with over $811,000 raised, or over twice its target goal.
WayForward Technologies collected $776,084 from Kickstarter and $35,878 from PayPal for a total of $811,962. The developer plans to keep PayPal donations open so new backers can enjoy any remaining reward tiers.
The money unlocked four stretch goals: a campaign for Shantae's arch-nemesis Risky Boots, two bonus chapters, and three additional costumes.
"New PayPal pledges will be applied to our next stretch goals," WayForward wrote in a Kickstarter update.
