Shape of the World will support Morpheus and Oculus VR

Intriguing exploration game inspired by Flower and Journey to get VR support

Earlier this week, it was announced that evolving exploration game Shape of the World is coming to PlayStation 4, and now GameZone has learned that it will support Virtual Reality (VR). Speaking to us in a recent interview, creator and lead designer Stuart Maxwell revealed ahead of today's official announcement, plans for the game to support VR tech.

"I've seen tests, it looks great and we are going to support VR for this game!" Maxwell said.

"It kind of already works but I want to spend some time to get the control scheme feeling nice but I think it's going to be a pretty trippy VR product."

When asked to clarify systems, Maxwell confirmed it will run on Sony's Morpheus for PlayStation and the Oculus Rift for PC.

We'll be posting our full interview with Stuart Maxwell on Shape of the World later today, but for now feel free to support the game on Kickstarter. Shape of the World is set for release in the first half of 2016 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. There's just a week left for the campaign to get fully funded.
