After some delays, Kickstarter game Shovel Knight is almost ready for release. It's headed to PC, Wii U, and 3DS on March 31.
Developer Yacht Club Games posted a new trailer for the platformer, which raised more than $311,000 in crowdfunding in April last year. Its target goal was only $75,000. The video reveals the release date.
Shovel Knight entered alpha this week, which means the entire game is basically finished. "All features are implemented," Yacht Club wrote in a blog update. "All levels are playable. All bosses are fightable. All items are gettable! Everything is there. You can play the entire game from front to back. It’s all real!"
Yacht Club will kick off a beta soon to fix bugs and playtest the game.
Shovel Knight was originally slated for September 2013 but got bumped to a winter release.
