Shrapnel
Games announces Wargame Development Kit Mod Program.

Create
a new game with Armies of Armageddon: WDK 2K and sell it online
through Shrapnel Games!

Cary,
NC, July 14, 2000

Shrapnel
Games announced today the Wargame Development Kit Mod Program.
Shrapnel Games will offer talented game designers the opportunity
to receive royalties for their game designs. For more information
about Armies of Armageddon: WDK2K please check out our website
at http://www.shrapnelgames.com.

Richard
Arnesen, Director of Covert Operations for Shrapnel Games, said,
"We have had plans to announce this for awhile but have decided
to move this forward after the incredible article posted at
www.pcgameworld.com detailing
what our various fans have in the works.
Basically WDK2K allows anybody to create a new game with a simple
change of art and game rules. Currently the "Mod Squad" has everything
from a comic book based game to an amphibious assault wargame
to a science fiction fleet based wargame and more! Once a Mod
makes it through our acceptance committee we will offer it for sale
on our website and offer a royalty agreement with the Mod creator.
This is a GREAT way for the ambitious person/team to make some
extra money and learn something about game design at the same time!"

Tim
Brooks, President of Shrapnel Games, added, "We are always looking
for talented game designers and developers. This is an opportunity
for inexperienced developers to show us what their capabilities
are."

Armies
of Armageddon: WDK 2K (which is necessary to make the Mod’s described) is
available for ordering at Shrapnel Games’ website at http://www.shrapnelgames.com.

Established
in 1999, Shrapnel Games is the premier war and strategy game
publisher who has published such hits as Horse and Musket (86%
by PC Gamer), Armies of Armageddon WDK2K (95% by pcgameworld.com), and
Brigade Combat Team (Used by armies around the world as a training tool).
Formed by industry veteran Timothy Brooks, developer of such award
winning games as Wages of War and 101: The Airborne Invasion of Normandy,
it continues to bring bright new games to the forefront with promising
games such as Steel Beasts (Over 15,000 downloads of the demo in
the first 72 hours) and Combat Command 2: Danger Forward (the first modern
wargame to highlight exciting WWII air and sea operations) waiting
in the wings. As Shrapnel Games continues to grow and develop we
are always looking for new developers, programmers, artists, testers, and
the like who have a strong love of gaming and an enterprising spirit.
