It looks like Sony is preparing to bring a big update to the PlayStation 4! No details on the upcoming system update have been given, but PS4 owners can register to test the update before it officially releases.
Starting today, you can register to be a beta tester. The registration will be open until the beta kicks off in early August. Once the beta starts, the registration will be closed.
Sony let users test their updates before, most recently with system update 4.50 which brought external HDD support, a more friendly quick menu experience, GIF image sharing, chat on Remote Play, the PS4 Pro's 'Boost Mode' and more.
If you are picked to participate in the beta, you will be able to experience the upcoming changes to the PS4 prior to their release. Participants will be notified by an email, which will contain instructions on how to download the beta version of the next system update. In order to sign up, you’ll need a PS4 with an internet connection, and access to a Master Account.
Sony detailed that they will be announcing more on the upcoming update soon.
