Silent Hill: Downpour gets a patch

Konami has issued a patch to clean up the performance problems in Silent Hill: Downpour, which released in March.

The patch improves the framerate, fixes the save game system and the bugs in the "Homeless" sidequest, and addresses other glitches.

Gamers playing on Xbox 360 should already have received the update. A patch for the PlayStation 3 version is incoming.

Downpour is also arriving on Microsoft's Games on Demand tomorrow.

The publisher experienced major problems with the Silent Hill HD Collection in spring and has since released a patch for the PlayStation 3 version. However, Konami canceled its plans to deliver one for the Xbox 360.
