SimCity for Mac delayed until August

Add this to the list of SimCity's laundry list of problems. Okay, in all honesty, I haven't been keeping enough track of the game's updates to know the status of it, but I do know that the Mac version is not "ready for primetime yet" — hence EA's decision to delay the release of it until August.

"We have made this tough decision because we do not believe it is ready for primetime yet. We want to ensure the Mac is a great experience for our players and that is why we are taking more time," explained senior producer Kip Katsarelis. The delay comes relatively last minute as the Mac version was expected to release next week on June 11.

While I'm sure many of you Mac owners are frustrated with the delay, I'm sure you'd much rather a polished release than the crap PC users had to suffer through during the game's launch. To make it up to Mac owners, EA wille xtend the availability of the SimCity Launch Park to all players who have purchased the Mac version.
