Skullcandy reveals Halo-themed SLYR gaming headset for Xbox One

Also comes in Xbox One color scheme

I've never used the SLYR headset from Skullcandy. The closest I have come is the Skullcandy PLYR 1 which was a great wireless gaming option when I reviewed it a few years ago. That said, I'm a fan of the products Skullcandy has put out since the marriage to Astro Gaming. Earlier today, Skullcandy announced the release of the Skullcandy SLYR for Xbox One.

The SLYR for Xbox One features a GMX-1 Controller-Mounted Mixer, which plugs into the bottom of the Xbox One controller (the spot where the Xbox One stereo headset adapter plugs in), and it has controls for volume, mute, and game-to-voice balancing. The little Skullcandy logo is in the center of the Mixer. It also has a stashable boom mic that you can turn away when not being used.

The Skullcandy SLYR for Xbox One comes in two color schemes. The first is a Xbox One color scheme where the headset is black with Xbox Green accents, earcups and a boom mic. The other version is a Halo Edition with a custom color scheme inspired by Halo. It is a white headset with grey accents, and subtle Halo design elements.

If you're wondering when the Skullcandy SLYR for Xbox One is available, the answer is now. You can buy it at skullcandy.com or retailers nationwide for $99. I can't comment on how they sound as this point, but if we get a review up I'll update this news post accordingly.
