Skulls of the Shogun gets a long-awaited release date

The samurai indie game Skulls of the Shogun finally has a release date. You can expect it to arrive on Xbox Live Arcade, Windows 8, Microsoft Surface, and Windows Phone on January 30.

Developer 17-Bit announced that the XBLA version will cost 1200 Microsoft Points, the PC/Surface version $14.99, and the Windows Phone version $6.99.

“After three and a half years, Skulls of the Shogun is finally ready to be released,” said founder and chief executive officer Jake Kazdal.

Skulls of the Shogun features a 15-hour single-player campaign, where players join forces with ghostly warriors, animal-monks, and other spirits from the afterlife in turn-based strategy combat. It also supports four-player local and online battles, which can be done via asynchronous, cross-platform gameplay in the mode "Skulls Anywhere."
