Skylanders Trap Team gets exclusive story and features on the Nintendo 3DS

Skylanders Trap Team will launch on a plethora of devices come October 5th, but Activision has a special surprise for 3DS owners. The 3DS version of Skylanders Trap Team will have an all-new adventure, complete with its own unique levels, locations and gameplay elements.

Also unique to the 3DS version is Skylanders Skystones, a card game that will now be available to be played against other Skylanders players for the first time through Wifi.

Since the 3DS is portable, it only makes sense that the game will allow players to transfer their Skylanders directly into the game, without constantly needing to lug around the Portal of Power. Players can also utilize the touchpad to interact with captured villains like poking, tickling and spinning the villains to make them dizzy. TAKE THAT VILLAINS!

To round off the 3DS package, the game will come with two exclusive Skylanders, Gusto, a Trap Master with an oversized Traptanium Boomerang and Barkley, a mini version of Tree Rex from Skylanders Giants.
