Skyrim breaks records with 20 million copies sold

Skyrim has entered the ranks of the top best-selling games of all time.

Bethesda's dragon-infested role-playing game The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, which launched in November 2011 (yes, that long ago already), has sold over 20 million copies on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 worldwide, Time reports. That makes it the most successful title in the series yet.

That figure puts it among some of that greats, like Super Mario World 3 — and Wii Fit Plus. Define "great" by your own terms.

Skyrim spawned three downloadable content add-ons: Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.
