Skyrim Dawnguard beta keys sent to Xbox 360 users

Yesterday, Bethesda sent out the first batch of beta keys for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Dawnguard expansion on Xbox 360.

If you signed up and are part of the lucky few who were invited, you should receive an email from "The Elder Scrolls". All of the beta keys should be deployed by today. Within the email, you will receive an Xbox LIVE redemption code, as well as details on how to participate in the private feedback forum.

If you did receive an invite, consider yourself lucky. Bethesda said the number of fans who signed up for the Skyrim Xbox 360 beta was so overwhelming that less than 1% received codes. They did say that they plan on doing this again, so you still may receive an invite in the future.

Skyrim Dawnguard is the first official expansion for The Elder Scrolls V. It will arrive first on Xbox 360 before landing on PS3 and PC. Earlier this month Bethesda released the first trailer for Dawnguard revealing the expansion will focus around a war between vampires and hunters giving players the option to side with either faction. It will be available this summer on Xbox LIVE for 1600 Microsoft Points.

Last week, the Skyrim 1.6 update went live on Xbox 360 also. This added mounted combat along with a ton of bug fixes.
