Skyrim Patch for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in the Works

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim just launched on Friday and already PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 users are clammoring for a patch.  Apparently, Bethesda's Pete Hines has heard enough as he issued a statement regarding the first patch.

"We are continuing to work on an update for all platforms to address any bugs and perf issues we can, patches/updates take a little time. We can't turn it around quite that fast. It's been three days. Calm down. We're working on it."

I can definitely understand fans eagerness for a patch.  Aside from random glitches and bugs on all platforms, Xbox 360 users in specific have faced scaling texture issues and have been experiencing problems when installing the game to the system's hard drive.  Bethesda has confirmed the issue and provided an explanation, but no official word on when it will be fixed.

"Skyrim uses a lot of dynamic streaming systems, including textures. We've seen a few reports of certain textures temporarily scaling down on the Xbox 360, and not scaling back up," Bethesda said on its official forums. "We have verified that this issue does not occur when playing off the disk and when the game is fully cached (not installed)."

"Skyrim makes heavy use of the Xbox 360 caching system, and caches over the normal course of play while in menus or interiors. This cache can be wiped when other games are played or when the user manually removes it."

Unfortunately, aside from Pete Hines attempting to calm users down, no other information was revealed.  I'm sure Bethesda is planning to roll out a large patch to fix as many problems at once instead of releasing a quick update addressing only a few bugs.

Have you experienced any problems with the Skyrim?
