Skyrim PS4 and Xbox One listings an ‘error,’ says Bethesda

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is not coming to Xbox One or PlayStation 4, according to Bethesda's VP of marketing and PR Pete Hines.

Last night, the official Bethesda website showed Skyrim listed for both next-gen systems in addition to the current platforms PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Coupled with the rumor of a "special announcement" (which Hines also calls a hoax), some believed the new platform listings could be true.

Taking to Twitter, Pete Hines set the record strating explaining that "a bug caused platforms that don't exist to show up for games." Apparently, the studio is working on the CMS that runs their sites which could explain how such an issue could arise. Either way, it doesn't look like Skyrim is coming to either the Xbox One or PS4, and the two platforms have since been removed from the site.
