***Update***
Bethesda still expects Hearthfire to release sometime tonight. "It will happen when Sony updates the PSN."
***Original Story***
As promised, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim's second add-on, Hearthfire, will be coming to the PlayStation 3 today. The add-on, which was first released for Xbox 360 in September 2012, will not be available for download until the PSN update later today in North America. Bethesda reminded us that it will be available in English language European territories tomorrow. Like Dragonborn last week, Hearthfire will be available for 50% off.
So what content can we look forward to with this latest add-on? Hearthfire allows you to purchase land and build your own home from the ground up. You can choose your land and customize your house to your own liking — from a simple one-room cottage to a giant castle complete with armory, alchemy lab, and more. Additionally, Hearthfire gives you the option to raise a family by adopting children.
It's not the most exciting add-on, but it's certainly welcomed on the PS3 which has waited months for Skyrim's DLC. Looking ahead, the third add-on, Dawnguard, will be available on PSN next week for 50% off as well.
"We’ll be releasing Dragonborn, Hearthfire, and Dawnguard to French, Italian, German, and Spanish territories on Wednesday, February 27th," Bethesda added. "In preparation for release, we are releasing the 1.8 title update for these territories later today."
