Snake is making a comeback on iOS and Android

It's time for Snake to come back into your life. No, not the Snake from Metal Gear (although, you will be seeing that Snake in September) — the snake that used be on your handy-dandy brick of a phone, your little Nokia.

In 1997, Taneli Armanto, a design engineer at Nokia, programmed the the original Snake for the Nokia 6110. Eighteen years later, Armanto is back with an updated version of the classic game – Snake Rewind.

The updated version will feature similar mechanics, but with a little more umph. There are leader-boards, new power-ups, the ability to rewind your snake an more. The game will span across ten unique levels, each has its own music and design (there's even a throwback to the original).

Snake Rewind will be available on iOS, Android, and Windows Phone as a free-to-play app — of course there will be in-app purchases. Expect to grab it on May 14th!
