SNES Classic pre-orders opening up later this month

Towards the end of June Nintendo confirmed that the SNES Classic would be releasing in September, with 21 games and two Famicon controllers for $79.99. While one North American retailer jumped the gun and made pre-orders available, regions outside of Europe haven't seen the classic console get open pre-orders.

Nintendo has officially commented on when the 'Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system' will be available for pre-order. All we have to do is hold out til the end of the month!

Taking to Facebook, Nintendo wrote:

"We appreciate the incredible anticipation that exists for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition system, and can confirm that it will be made available for pre-order by various retailers late this month.

"A significant amount of additional systems will be shipped to stores for launch day, and throughout the balance of the calendar year."

The SNES Classic will be available on September 29th.
