Sniper Elite 4 possibly outed by digital arts company

Ohhh boy.

Game developer Rebellion is doing their best to keep quiet on what game they are currently working on. Unfortunately for Rebellion, an employee at Chinese digital arts company ADIA Entertainment isn't too keen on keeping quiet.

Spotted by VideoGamer, the unnamed employee updated their LinkedIn account stating that they had worked with Rebellion on Sniper Elite 4. The individual did not reveal the game's release date or what consoles it will be releasing on, they simply stated that they had worked on the game.

According to Rebellion's co-founder Jason Kingsley, the employee does not work for Rebellion and the game developer has not announced a new Sniper Elite game. However, Kingsley did tease that the franchise is "hugely important" and that the developers would be announcing their new game soon.

"The person in question doesn't work for Rebellion and we haven't announced a new entry in the Sniper Elite series," said Kingsley to VideoGamer.

"Last year we celebrated the Sniper Elite series' 10th birthday and 10 millionth sale, so our IP is still hugely important to both Rebellion and independent UK games development. We're actually gearing up to announce a new Rebellion game soon, so expect to hear more from us before GDC!"

So, will there be a new Sniper Elite game or not? Looks like we will have to wait until GDC comes in March 14-16.
