Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 released earlier this week on Tuesday, and its critical reception has been mixed, to say the least, with scores ranging from 80 to 30. A big reason for this is the game's incredibly frustrating glitches and optimization issues. Steam users have reported crashes, audio sync, and framerate chugging, and the game is also known to take up to five minutes to load certain sections.
Marek Tymiński, the CEO of Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3's developer, CI Games, issued a statement regarding the game's issues and what the studio plans to do about it.
Here is a list of the main objectives, courtesy of an official Press Release.
- Before we release any more content for the game, we have dedicated staff working diligently to further optimize Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 to ensure fewer issues with framerate and loading times.
- Only once we feel that proper headway has been made on the system performance, will we begin adding extras such as the much-requested multiplayer component.
So basically, don't expect to get anything new until what's already here has been straightened out. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 was delayed after its beta due to fan feedback, but unfortunately it seems as though the game could have used a bit more time. Then again, it's never as simple as "just take more time," regardless of what fans may think, so hopefully, CI Games will be able to resolve all of the game's issues in a timely manner.
