Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is officially available today, bringing its open world gameplay and headshots to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game features a number of new features and enhancements, including an enhancement to the game's movements abilities like free-running, parkouring, climbing ledges, and rappelling.
Out of everything the game features, it won't have its multiplayer mode at launch. The open world of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is littered with activities, missions, and exploration for players to get experience. It's actually so filled with things to do, that the developers (CI Games) have decided to delay the multiplayer mode for the game so players can experience the single-player portion of the game in full.
The activity heavy single-player isn't the only reason why the multiplayer has been delayed, the extra time also allows CI Games to work on post-launch support for the game.
"CI Games, throughout our development of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, we have had two focus [sic],” CI Games told Eurogamer in a statement.
“The first is to provide the best possible single player experience in our most ambitious game in the Sniper Ghost Warrior series to date. This has always been our goal and we are extremely proud of all the work we have done, and that we share with you. The second emphasis from us is to provide regular content updates post-launch, focusing on content that enhances the gaming experience.
"Therefore, we have chosen to release the multiplayer update (that will be free for our players) after launch (the third quarter of 2017) for precisely the above reasons, that is not to dilute any potential from the single player experience.”
So, you can grab Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 now, play through the campaign, then head into multiplayer towards the end of the year.
