SOE prepares to reveal EverQuest Next; watch the livestream here

Today, August 2, 2013 at 3pm EST/12pm PDT, SOE will reveal EverQuest Next — the fourth installment in the EverQuest franchise. SOE president John Smedley has called it an MMO the world "has never seen before." In EQN, players will have "unprecedented control over the world of Norrath."

At E3 this year, both MMORPG.com and TenTonHammer gave EverQuest Next the Best of Show award and had nothing but amazing things to say about the game. MMORPG.com said, "What we can say is that we saw grand plans for the world's largest sandbox and it was more than enough to stand head and shoulders above any game we saw at E3. When Sony pulls back the curtain later this summer, you will not be disappointed."

TenTonHammer raved, "While we are sworn to secrecy on exactly what we were shown, what we can say is that EverQuest Next was hands-down the best game we had the pleasure of seeing during E3 2013."

We don't know a lot yet (that's to come at 3pm today), but what we do know (thanks to Massively) is that EverQuest Next is a free-to-play sandbox with terrain deformation and emergent gameplay there there's a huge player interaction with the world.
