Someone Beat Portal Without Moving the Mouse Once

Portal, the game that everyone who has touched a controller knows about, has been played by millions. Some players are better than others, but one player actually did what many would call impossible. They beat the game on PC without moving the mouse.

How is this possible? Good question. It's also worth asking how YouTuber Imanex managed to do it in roughly 37 minutes. This would mean the player would have to know the game inside and out in order to know where to walk without looking. When Portal came out, it revolutionized the first-person genre. No longer just shooters, the perspective started to include puzzle games like Portal that require more than aiming down a barrel at enemies. Platforming had to be a big hurdle for this run. Check out the playthrough below.

In their playthrough, Imanex didn't even use the mouse buttons to shoot, remapping the input to the keyboard as to not accidentally move the mouse. That's dedication to the challenge.

In other obscure Valve news, the original Half-Life got an update after 19 years. Unfortunately, it does nothing to hint at Half-Life 3. But at least people like Imanex are keeping the old games interesting.
