When spending $8K on a 7 foot tall Batman statue doesn't satisfy your bat superhero cravings, there's always another opportunity to spend even more to satiate yourself. One lucky Batman fan managed to grab the original Batsuit worn by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's 'Batman Returns' from 1992 for pretty cheap.
The 6-foot tall rubber Batsuit sold for $41,250 at auction, which is fairly inexpensive considering that Christian Bale's Batsuit from Christopher Nolan's 'Batman Begins' sold for $250,000 at auction.
Keaton's 'Batman Returns' Batsuit is formed from black rubber segments which are covered by a textured cape and cowl style mask, with long black leather gloves, boots, gold plastic belt and bat symbol. The Batsuit is in "overall very good condition" featuring original parts of the costume worn in the film like the cowl, cape, and body. Unfortunately, the gloves, belt, insignia, and shoes are replicas.
The best part of the Batsuit is that it comes on a mannequin that looks like Keaton. Basically, the person that bought the Batsuit now has Micheal Keaton in their home and I'm jealous.
