Someone coded Super Mario Odyssey’s hat powers into Super Mario 64

Wow, that was fast. Just days after Nintendo gave the most comprehensive look at what is now the Nintendo Switch's most anticipated game, modder Kaze Emanuar has created a mod for Mario 64 that puts the hat powers seen in the Super Mario Odyssey trailer that was shown off during the Nintendo Spotlight.

Check it out:

As you can see, the hat powers can be used to take over enemies, collect coins, and even use the birds in the courtyard as a quick way up to the castle roof. If you're interested in checking out the mod, you can do so by heading over here.

In other Super Mario Odyssey news, the game "probably" has multiplayer according to game director Kenta Motokura seeing as how the Nintendo Switch is built with multiplayer in mind.

Super Mario Odyssey releases on October 27th, 2017.
