Someone paid $2,000 for a potentially fake copy of No Man’s Sky

Someone apparently came across a leaked copy of No Man's Sky and decided to throw that bad boy up on eBay for a pretty penny before it's release date. Another someone ended up buying the game, which is set to release on August 10th, and if it's real… he will be livestreaming ti.

Redditor daymeeuhn threw all caution to the wind and purchased a "leaked" copy of No Man's Sky from eBay. Of course, the purchase drew attention from the community, some bashed him for spending his money on something they deemed frivolous, others were upset he would ruin the game and some just wanted him to post the footage of the game if it turned out to be real.

Daymeeuhn defended his purchase, saying "Some people buy really expensive items for their hobbies or collections. Some people spend ridiculous amounts of money on liquor or food" and he'd rather spend the money he has earned on this experience. He even went on to comment on the typical counterargument to such purchases, saying that he does donate to charities and yes, the money spent on the game could have gone there.

The game is currently in transit via FedEx to his house, but if its real, you'll be able to find his gameplay footage here.
