Nintendo took to the Nintendo Switch presentation armed with details on the Switch and its games. One of those games was Super Mario Odyssey, which is set to release in late 2017 even though the game is "considerably finished."
After the game was shown off, people likened the new Super Mario game to Grand Theft Auto, since it put Mario in an open-world 3D sandbox and in a city. That was enough similarities for consumers to draw a comparison.
Now, modders have taken that comparison and remade Super Mario Odyssey in GTA IV and it's pretty darn great. YouTuber CrowbCat uploaded the video today – you can check it out below:
