Sonic Dash goes free on iOS with new update

This weekend, the endless runner Sonic Dash is getting its first major update and a massive price drop.

The game came to the App Store earlier this month, and now Sega is lowering the price completely. It's currently free on iOS.

Version 1.1.0 introduces new daily challenges, each with its own prize reward, including Red Star Rings and extra characters. Sega has also added a fresh Mission Tracker to the main menu.

Sonic Dash now performs better on iPhone 4 and iPod Touch 4 devices. In addition, Sega has rebalanced obstacles to eliminate unavoidable deaths and implemented bug and framerate fixes.
