Sonic Dash headed to the App Store soon

Sega announced a new game today called Sonic Dash, which is hitting the App Store "soon."

From the sounds of it, Sonic Dash is an endless runner — an "agile, endless, running mobile game" — and it's coming to iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad.

"Our hero will be doing what he does best — making a fast and frenzied 3D dash through stunning stages as he navigates over, around, and through interminable dangers," the Sega Blog teased. "Challenge your friends and compete on leaderboards — you may know who the fastest is, but for how long?"

This isn't the only game on iOS. Last fall, Sonic Jump (pictured) came to the App Store. It employs tilt motions and Doodle Jump-type gameplay.
